The African World Heritage Fund (AWHF) is an intergovernmental organisation based in Midrand, South Africa. Their mission is to support the effective conservation and protection of natural and cultural heritage of outstanding universal value in Africa. AWHF has been battling with modernising their existing website, attracting a steady following to it and making the organisation been heard to the public in general. That is where the atnetplanet SA’s experts came in.

atnetplanet’s SA answer to the problem was twofold: we upgraded AWHF’s website tot the latest industry standards and have designed and implemented a steady social media strategy.

 

The fund’s website was not up to date with the latest technical and SEO standards in the industry. We have completely gone through their website and fixed all the technical and SEO issues we could find: compressing large images, fixing redirect links, provide missing and rewrite bad metadata, switching to the https protocol, etc.

 

When it comes to the social media presence of AWHF, atnetplanet provided AWHF with an extensive social media strategy for their target groups. This strategy was later implemented on both Facebook and LinkedIn in order for the fund to meet its different goals (getting donations, raising awareness, inform experts) and reach its different demographic target groups.
