Brandon Como started his career in the Higher education sector at Stellenbosch University as the manager of Student Governance. He has a background in International Relations and focused on the political economy of Southern Africa. He was part of the negotiation team during the FeesMustFall campaign which looked at ways student leaders and the university management could find common grounds for complex challenges within higher education.
As a political scientist, he follows the trend of social movements locally and around the world. He focuses especially on their use of social media to create communities, form viral engagement and bring about change.
Grant Oosterwyk started his career in the private financial sector in the field of IT networking. Grant worked for one of the biggest IT companies in Africa where he held the position as head of a networking team and contributed to various IT projects. He holds a MCom (Information Systems) from the University of Cape Town where he is also busy pursuing a PhD.
